James Hodgson

 

The eldest of William and Sarah Hodgson's three children, a "wartime baby",

born on 15th October 1915.

He was baptised on 21st November 2015.

James with his Aunt, Margaret Ann Birkett. She was sometimes referred to "Aunt Tan", at other times, "Pooley".

Aunt Tan was a teacher whose career included that of headteacher in Upperby School in Carlisle, the small village school in Newlands in the Lake District. She also held the position of Headteacher at the Blue Coat School in Durham.
